Book Review: Paris Letters by Janice MacLeod
Paris Letters by Janice MacLeod
This is a delightful book that will make you remember that life can be full of magic and surprising opportunities if you are open to them. Fed up with the corporate life, Janice MacLeod decides to quit her job and head to Europe for a couple of years. First up she works out how to save the money, and then she is on a plane to Paris. But she is only a few weeks in Paris when she meets Christophe and sparks fly. She eventually decides to base herself in Paris and now works there as an artist with a unique business – she has a painted letter service.
I loved every part of this remarkable book. It is partly an instruction manual on how to spring-clean your life, it is certainly part love story and it is also part memoir. All these aspects come together surprisingly well and the author has a warm writing voice. Some of the painted letters feature in this book, which is certainly the icing on the cake. Inspirational and heart-warming.
