Book Review: Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
This is the first Nalini Singh novel that I have read, and it certainly won’t be my last. Slave to Sensation is a page turning read with characters to care for. This is paranormal romance at its best, so I can see why Nalini Singh has such a massive following around the world.Nalini has created a world with two races in conflict. The Psy are the ruling race, and they have spent generations successful stamping out any emotion – their existence ruled solely by logic. But Sasha Duncan, a high ranking Psy, spends all her energy hiding her raging emotion. If found out she will have to go through ‘rehabilitation’ which essentially would turn her into a vegetable.
Things become even more difficult for Sasha when the Psy take on a building project with the lowly ‘Changeling’ race – a race they consider little better than animals. Both human and animal, Lucas Hunter is the Alpha of his family. A striking man who can also change into a leopard, he is immediately attracted to the ice-cold Sasha, sensing something beneath her steely exterior. And Sasha is almost overwhelmed by desire for this raggedly handsome changeling. But unknown to her, Lucas is trying to draw her out so he can find out more about the Psy and track down one of their number who has been murdering Changeling women. Gripping, sexy, and at times unexpected – this is a fabulous read!.
