The Quokka Logic and Baking Book will be representing New Zealand in the 2023 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for Food & Drink Culture. The Quokka Logic and Baking Book will be judged against cookbooks from six other countries in the Pastry section, including Argentina, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Sweden. The awards ceremony will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 27 to 29 November 2023. The Gourmand Awards are like the Olympics for Cookbooks, so it is an honour for The Quokka Logic and Baking Book to be representing New Zealand!

'When I gave this to my daughter, it took longer for her to choose something to make than it did for her to actually make it! There are some great staples, like chocolate chip cookies, lemon cake, and chocolate fudge. Most recipes use pantry staples, hence the delay in choosing something to make. I really liked the fact that it had pictures as it gives you a really good idea of what it should look like. This is a great recipe book for kids and adults! The recipes are all things you would want to bake with kids and most of the recipes are 'old school' and come from the author's mum and nana.
